Nakia Herron's journey in the solar industry began with a spark of curiosity at a job fair. Encountering Safer Foundation's training program ignited a passion for photovoltaic studies, leading him to pursue professional development with unwavering dedication. After graduating from Millennium Solar Electric training Academy, Nakia embarked on a fulfilling career path.
From Hands-on Installation to Expert Instruction
Nakia's early years were spent mastering the practical aspects of solar energy as an installer. This hands-on experience provided a deep understanding of system functionality and laid the foundation for his future success. Driven by a desire to further engage with the industry, Nakia transitioned to a solar technician role, honing his troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Paving the Way through Education
Recognizing the power of knowledge dissemination, Nakia embarked on a new academic chapter, specializing in solar sales. Additionally, he obtained an instructor certification, demonstrating his commitment to sharing his expertise and empowering others. Now, as a National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) photovoltaic instructor, Nakia dedicates himself to educating future generations of professionals. "Ohr Illumination is my passion," he declares, "and sharing my passion is what I want to do."
